The intent of environmental legislation is the protection of our environment and available resources. This is to hopefully ensure that generations which are to come can also enjoy a healthy environment in the future. Some areas have stricter environmental laws than are enforced in other areas. These laws can have a major impact on individuals as well as industries. Legislation can mandate the way industries dispose of waste products or create new products.
