THE TOP TEN 2011 NBA All-Star Highlights
Here's the top moments I'll remember from my weekend here at the 2011 NBA All-Star weekend in Los Angeles, CA.
Networking at the private events, handing my tech startup business card to men in suits, having them look at it, then watch them immediately take two steps closer to ask more about it
Being able to get from the home office to Staples Center in less time than it takes 5 groupies to get dressed because I already live downtown and didn’t have to battle traffic
Watching @JustinBieber shoot a 3-point shot at the NBA Celebrity Game like it was nothing, then standing up, proudly screaming "What?! You can sing AND play ball?? Bieber fever!" from the stands
Spotting the atrociousness of fashion emergencies and “Are you serious???” moments from the out-of-towners trying to pull in a baller over the weekend
Going to the celebrity game with @AyindeAlakoye, @ChefAmeera and @Tim_Yong, despite running three blocks in the rain to meet them there with tix
Learning that everyone else’s cell phones die just as quickly as mine, leaving me with a slightly less irritated relationship with my soon-to-be-replaced iPhone 3Gs
Having a blast with music mogul @kevinbetonblack and linking up with the numerous artists, celebs, publicists, hosts and brands that were on board the best party bus in this city
Spending girl time with celebrity photographer @ZsanaeDavis and going over her amazing shots she captured throughout the weekend
Standing a few feet away and making eye contact with Baron Davis for a few seconds while Gene Simmons leaned over and began an interesting conversation in his ear
Free drinks. Exclusive access. Admittance to wherever I was headed. Everywhere I went. The whole time. Without EVER dressing like a hoochie mama or putting on some stilletos. THAT, takes some skills, people. You can't buy confidence at the mall.
