1. Cruises visit many different ports. Depending on the length of your cruise, you may get to visit up to four or five ports of call. This means visiting many exotic destinations for the one-time price of the cruise fare. These ports of call also offer many unique tours. For example you can climb a pyrmaid in Mexico, snorkel in St. Thomas, and drive through the jungles of Jamaica all on the same vacation!

2. Cruises are all inclusive! When you book a cruise, everything except tours and drinks are automatically included.

3. You get to eat gourmet meals. Most food is included in the fare. Ships serve buffets, sushi, pizza, ice cream, burgers, and gourmet dinners. Anything you want to eat, you can find on the ship.

4. Items are less expensive. The ship offers much less expensive items than in the United States. For example, I was able to purchase a Guess purse for less than $90. The same bag would have been $200 back in my hometown of Alexandria, Kentucky. Liquor is also much cheaper. For example, you can buy a liter of Captain Morgan Rum for under $10.

5. The ship is tax and duty free! All stores on the ship do not charge tax or duty on any items purchased including jewelry and liquor. Customs rules still apply though.

6. The service is excellent. Staff members are dedicated to making your cruise perfect. Rooms are kept clean, fresh food is always available, drink waiters are always on call, shopping experts help to save you money in port, and much more.

7. There is gambling on the ship. For those of you interested in gambling, there is a casino on the ship. The only downside is that the casino is only open while the ship is at sea. When it is docked in a port of call, the casino and shops close and remained closed until the ship is far enough offshore.

8. There is never a dull moment. There are many activities available on board. Trivia games, board games, music, pool games, etc. are widely available everyday on the ship. There is never any reason to be bored.

9. The transporation is included. Most cruiselines offer free pier transport/transer after the flight lands in the port city. This is much easier than renting a car or booking a cab from the airport.

10. The flight is included. Most cruiselines offer airfare included into their prices. If you book your flight through them, they will also guarantee that you make your flight if the ship is late getting into port.
